Hello there! Welcome to The Sportsballers' blog page. We've don't have any content published yet but we're excited to get started.
Our names are Evan Ash, Eric Meyer, and Cory Puffett. We each have several years of podcasting experience. Evan hosted the Ash Backwards podcast independently for a few years while Eric and Cory hosted The All-Sports Crew and Football Freaks on WMUC Sports while studying at the University of Maryland before producing their podcasts independently.
For the first time, the three of us are grouping up as a trio to produce new content; primarily via podcasting, but occasionally we'll publish written pieces on here and Cory will use this platform to publish his weekly recaps for the fantasy football league the three of us have been in for going on six years.
Evan (@evan_ash13) is an alum of Georgia Tech and works in Atlanta, Georgia. He follows Yellow Jackets football and basketball very closely but falls back to his Maryland roots for pro sports. Evan is, in particular, a die-hard Orioles and Ravens fan.
Eric (@QuagMeyer6791) is an alum of the University of Maryland - College Park and has remained local. He shares Evan's love of the Orioles and has an affinity for the Seattle Mariners and the New Orleans Saints, but otherwise supports D.C. sports teams. Eric tends to be the most unbiased member of the group.
Cory (@CoryPuffett) is an alum of the University of Maryland University College and has deep roots in the PG County community. He is a die-hard New York Yankees fan but is otherwise a D.C. sports fan. Cory tends to be the most experimental of the group in terms of checking out new sports and has watched just about every stage of the last eight editions of the Tour de France. He also has experience as a color commentator for the D.C. Breeze, the area's professional Ultimate team in the AUDL.
All three are graduates of DeMatha Catholic High School, graduating in 2008, 2009, and 2010, respectively.
We appreciate you taking the time to check out our page and we look forward to bringing you as much content as we can in the future. Be sure to subscribe to The Sportsballers podcast, coming to iTunes soon, like and follow us on Facebook, and feel free to email us at thesportsballers@gmail.com with any comments, questions, or topics you'd like us to address on our next show.
