It looks like Week 13 wasn't very unlucky for me. I scored another 5-0 week, and with only a few weeks remaining in the season, I've all but locked up a profitable year. That said, you're only as good as your latest bet, so let's keep our eye on the prize. Here are your Week 14 winners.
Kansas City -6.5 over Baltimore
As impressed as I am with the Ravens' mid-season turnaround, I can't let that distract from the juggernaut that is Kansas City. Patrick Mahomes (hon) and the Chiefs have been heavily featured on Winners, and they have yet to lead me astray. This feels like a dose of reality coming for Lamar Jackson and the crew as they head to Arrowhead. Kansas City wins this one by a couple of scores.
Denver -5.5 over San Francisco
The 6-6 Broncos are a really good football team. I'm serious. They've played eight playoff teams in their twelve games, have won three of those games, and were highly competitive in three of the other five games. On the few occasions that they played bottom feeders, they stomped them down a crack. They deserve a lot more respect than they're getting, so I'm taking them again to beat the hell out of another crummy team with a third string QB. Denver wins in Santa Clara going away.
LA Chargers -14 over Cincinnati
I'm usually wary of laying points on such a heavy favorite, but this is an exceptional circumstance. The Bengals have quit on their season and have no quarterback. Meanwhile, the Chargers won a game they never win: a prime time road game against a playoff team. These Bolts are different. They're going to roll Cincinnati at home.
Oakland +10.5 over Pittsburgh
The Steelers are reeling, they won't have James Conner, and they're going on the road, where they historically struggle. They're going to beat the Raiders, but they'll probably mess around and make it more interesting than they should. The Raiders keep this within 10.
Seattle -3 over Minnesota
Kirk Cousins is playing in a significant December football game. Kirk Cousins is playing on the road. Kirk Cousins is playing against a team with a winning record. Kirk Cousins is playing in prime time. Kirk Cousins loses in all of these situations nearly 100% of the time. There's no choice here. The Vikings and Kirk Cousins are absolute frauds. For reference, Minnesota is 0-4 against teams with winning records, including a 1-3 ATS mark. The one win against the spread was a 7 point loss when the spread was 7.5 against the Rams. I implore you, take Seattle and lay the points.
Week 13 Results: 5-0 (+4.5 units)
Overall: 40-19-2 (+22.5 units)
