Eric's Week 3 Winners

A slight improvement from the disaster that was Week 1, but still a big net loser for me in Week 2.  2020 is trash, man.  Let's turn the tide this week.  Here's what I have for Week 3.  Pray for my wallet.

Games:

Texans (+4) @ Steelers

I'm not sure what the betting public is seeing in Houston, but I'm happy to try to take advantage of their state of inebriation.  The Texans suck hard.  They have no defense and their offense is a one-man show.  The Steelers are going to swallow DeShaun Watson, and I don't see the Houston defense presenting many problems for Big Ben and company.  I'll lay the four points on the yinzers.

The Pick: Steelers -4 over Texans

Rams +2 @ Bills

If you listen to our podcast, you know I'm all over the Rams in this one.  The Bills have gotten some press for starting 2-0, but Los Angeles has done the same against better competition, yet they still seem to be flying under the radar.  I'm going to go a step further and bet the moneyline on this game, but I'd obviously be happy to snag a couple of points if they're being offered.

The Pick: Rams +2 over Bills

Jets (+11.5) @ Colts

The Jets look like the worst team we've seen play in the NFL in quite some time.  I maxed out my confidence on the Colts on our most reason episode of the Sportsballers.  But you're going to give me 11.5 points?  I would insert my handy Clay Davis GIF if I wasn't beholden to keeping this blog post rated PG.  I'm going to ride with the sorry Jets because I don't trust the Colts to put up enough points.  Colts still win, but by like 10 points.  Not 11.5.

The Pick: Jets +11.5 over Colts

Buccaneers (-5.5) @ Broncos

A couple weeks ago, we discussed Denver as having one of the few true home field advantages this year with the lack of fans due to COVID-19.  That may be the case, but Denver is a broken team right now.  Drew Lock is out with an injury, which leaves the Broncos severely undermanned at the quarterback position.  The presumption is that Denver will try to navigate around Jeff Driscoll's limitations by using a run-heavy approach, but Tampa Bay is elite at stuffing the run.  Denver's defense has shown some good fight through two weeks, but I think Tompa Brady gets it together this week and finds a rhythm with his loaded roster of weapons.  I'll take the Bucs to cover the spread against a wounded opponent.

The Pick: Buccaneers -5.5 over Broncos

Packers @ Saints (O/U: 52.5)

Curveball time!  I decided to throw an over/under bet into the mix this week for funsies.  I don't know who the hell is going to win this game, and the Saints are laying three for those who are interested, but that number comes at a discount and I decided it would be better to roll the dice and take the over for this game.  I think the Saints rebound offensively against a questionable Packers defense, and I can't see Rodgers and the Packers not at least putting up a few tuddies.  Let's run it up in the Superdome!

The Pick: Over 52.5 points

Eric's Week 3 Ticket:
